Ayumu Hisa studied in Tokyo and London.
She aspired to be a picture book author when she was a child.
Later, under the influence of her father, a jewelry designer, she became fascinated with the world of jewelry, which is like creating small sculptures. She replaced paint with colored stones.

In 2003, she began working in her father's workshop, Atelier d'or, where she is in charge of design, production, and wholesale.
In 2022, she opened her own store, Cypres d'or.

Reading picture books to her two children reminded her of her childhood and relived the world of stories.
Today, she designs not only simple jewelry, but also motifs such as cats, the moon, and amusement parks, as if playing in a storybook world.
